Required Training

Security Awareness Training

Per Providence College’s End User Policy, all employees are required to complete security awareness training upon hire and annually thereafter.

Please note: The training site uses single sign on (SSO), you will need network access to be able to access. We recommend taking this training on your first day of work.

Please follow the below instructions to logon to the training platform and complete your required training. If you experience any issues, please contact infosec@providence.edu.

1) Logon to the training platform using your Providence College Net ID credentials at the following link: Security Awareness Training

Training will be automatically assigned to your account following your first logon. If your training does not immediately appear on the home screen, please check back in 10-20 minutes. You will also be sent an email when your training is successfully assigned.

2) Once training is assigned, it will appear on your home screen as an item requiring completion. To begin your course, click its tile on the home screen and then “start this course” or “continue this course” on the next page. Please note the training due date that appears on both screens.

3) Proceed through each module/video as instructed. Select the “Next Module” option in the top right corner to advance to the next module

4) When finished, your training progress should be marked as 100%. Please note that the training will not be considered complete until all modules have been completed

EverFi Training

Achieving our goal of becoming a beloved community – a beautiful way to describe a culture and climate inspired by the Providence College mission – is going to take significant commitment from everyone. Consistent with this aim, you will receive an e-mail from our training partner, EVERFI, requesting you to participate in professional development training designed to increase awareness of – and comfort with – diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.

The workshops are being offered by EVERFI, a world-renowned leader, to provide evidence-based training to over 1,300 academic institutions. As such, you will be receiving an e-mail directly from EVERFI to complete an interactive module that will cover topics such as identities, allyship, power, inequality, implicit bias, and microaggressions. These courses will complement the EVERFI “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” module that all Providence College students now receive and are therefore critical to helping us become an inclusive and equity-seeking campus.

The training will be sent to you within your first few weeks of work.
