Long-Term Disability

Providence College provides coverage for long-term disability for eligible employees at no cost to the employee.  Benefits payable under the plan begin on the first day of the month following six consecutive months of total disability provided proof of disability and application for benefits have been filed.

Benefits payable under the plan are equal to 66 2/3% of an employee’s monthly salary as of the date the disability began, but may not exceed $7500 per month.  This amount will be reduced by other income the employee may be entitled to from other sources (i.e., Social Security, Workers’ Compensation, pension, etc.).
