First Day Information
To help ease the transition of a new job, we are providing you with the following steps to take on your first day of work:
Form I-9
On your First Day, please come to Human Resources in person with your I-9 identification documents. Federal Regulations state that we need to see original IDs within the first 3 business days of employment. We cannot accept copies, scans, faxes, pictures, etc. The most common forms of IDs shown are listed below:
- Unexpired US Passport or US Passport Card
- Driver’s License with a Social Security Card
- Driver’s License with a Birth Certificate
New Hire Orientation
All new employees are required to attend the New Hire Orientation, which includes information about the campus, benefits, policies, and Title IX.
The New Hire Orientation is scheduled by Human Resources and is indicated on your offer letter. Please check you offer letter for confirmation on the date you should attend.
The New Hire Orientations are scheduled for every Monday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Parking Pass
Providence College offers free campus parking to College employees. Employees are responsible for registering for a parking pass with the Transportation Office.
On your first day of work, please print and complete the Parking Pass Information Form. Bring the completed form with you when you go to the Transportation Office to request a parking pass.

PC ID Card
All employees are required to get a PC ID Card for identification and parking and building access.
On your first day, please go to the Card Services Office in Harkins 401. You will get your ID photo taken and your ID will be ready immediately.
Please Note: Be ready to have your photo taken. This photo will be used for your PC ID and our internal Photo Directory.
